Baggage benefit points - For members who are living outside of Israel
As part of the Matmid Club’s new program, prices for baggage award in points will be updated.
As of December 10th, 2014 excess baggage benefits will be operated from the EL AL frequent flyer website.
No need to print the voucher!
After identification, enter “My Account” on the menu, “Utilizing Points” and then “Baggage Awards” and follow instructions on the website.
The option to transfer the voucher in points to a passenger accompanying the TL Matmid member is in effect only until December 9, 2014.
Top Platinum (TP) Matmid members can issue a baggage award benefit from their account for a second suitcase, weighing up to 23 kilos, for flights to all EL AL destinations for family members flying in Economy Class.

New baggage benefit prices as of February 10, 2015
Baggage award benefit updates for a second suitcase stored in the hold of the plane, for Matmid members who are entitled to the award and who are flying in Economy Class or Economy Class Plus
- To EL AL destinations in the Mediterranean Basin and Europe - 255 points instead of 200 points per direction
- To EL AL destinations in North America, the Far East and South Africa - 300 points instead of 230 points per direction
